BoyleSports have reported that a County Donegal online punter hit the jackpot on Sunday after their €15 sporting double clicked.
The punter who wishes to remain anonymous placed a €15 double on Ireland to beat New Zealand at 10/1 and Thorbjorn Olesen to win the Turkish Open at 125/1.
Olesen won the Turkish Open by three shots landing the double and defying the odds of 1385/1 for the Donegal punter resulting in his €15 double being turned into a whopping €20,790.
Liam Glynn, BoyleSports spokesperson said “We would like to congratulate the lucky punter on their crystal ball pickings and have to say hats off to them for defying the odds of 1385/1.”
He added “No doubt they were sweating a couple of times on Saturday evening as at one stage the All Blacks came back at Ireland and also on Sunday as Olesen saw his seven-stroke overnight lead reduced to just one shot. Olesen won by a comfortable three shots in the end resulting in the punter seeing their €15 bet land a whopping €20,790.”
