LETTERKENNY’S theatres have a busy few weeks ahead with a list of well known faces preparing to take centre stage.
This Friday, March 24, the multi award-winning comedian Conal Gallen brings his hilarious stand-up comedy show back to an Grianán with his Funny Bits show.
The Donegal man is known around Ireland and the UK for his hilariously quick wit, rib-tickling stories and comedy songs. Don’t miss your chance to laugh the whole night away with one of Ireland’s all-time favourite comedians.
On Saturday March 25 storyteller Michael Harding will be returning to the stage at an Grianán with All The Things Left Unsaid.
While in recovery from surgery Michael travelled to a cottage on the Atlantic coast and thought again about life and the people who had profoundly affected him over the years – mentors, loves and old friends.
There at the ocean he wrote letters with an intimacy not previously risked. Letters that would never be posted but that feature in his latest book All the Things Left Unsaid – a vulnerable and beautifully wrought collection of insights into life, death, friendship and love.
On Sunday March 26 the star of RTÉJr’s AbraKIDabra, Joe the Magician, is bringing his spectacular children’s comedy magic and illusion show to An Grianán at 3pm for one spectacular afternoon of mind boggling fun.
Joe’s show fuses laugh out loud comedy magic with absolutely jaw dropping spectacular illusions live on stage. It’s a rollercoaster theatrical ride that reinvents children’s entertainment.
Tables will fly, a friendly ghost will magically fly into the audience and charm kids and grown-ups alike. Joe will even make it snow live on stage. That’s just for starters.
On Thursday March 30, Tommy Tiernan will be back onstage with his sold out show Tomfoolery, a high energy mix of outrageous ideas and whimsical flights of fancy.
On Friday March 31 Donegal’s very own drag superstar MarianMarythe6th will host some of the finest cabaret, drag and burlesque talent from across Ireland in an Grianán at 8pm.
Bring your best cheers, screams and singing voice for a night of craic, awe and glorious, glorious camp.
This Thursday, March 23, Look! Film Club will screen All the Beauty and the Bloodshed at 7.30pm as part of their spring season of cinema.
Laura Poitras’ Golden Lion winning documentary chronicles the life and work of artist Nan Goldin.
