THERE is still time to get out and enjoy Heritage Week in County Donegal which runs until this Sunday. National Heritage Week is co-ordinated by The Heritage Council and local authority Heritage Officers with support from Fáilte Ireland.

Proposals awaited for LGH Gynae ward


UNION and staff representatives at Letterkenny General Hospital were this week awaiting proposals from management regarding the redeployment of staff to the new €20 million medical unit due to open on September 13.

A MAN and a woman who were found in a car at Loughros Point, Ardara on Sunday afternoon were still being treated at Letterkenny General Hospital yesterday (Thursday).


Summer on the way to Donegal


SUMMER weather is expected to eventually arrive in Donegal this week, according to a local forecaster.
Speaking to the Donegal News, Kenneth McDonagh of the Donegal Weather Channel, said that the long-awaited summer is expected to hit Donegal on Thursday with high temperatures to reach 25 degrees by the weekend.
