Traveller groups speak out on suspected arson attack


THE country’s largest Traveller organisation has called on the gardai in Donegal to provide protection to Traveller families in the county in the wake of a suspected arson attack at a house in Ballyshannon on Monday. Locally, the Donegal Travellers Project have also strongly condemned the attack

McGuinness is Donegal Person of the Year


LEGENDARY Donegal Manager, Jim McGuinness, has been named as Donegal Person of the Year for 2012, much to the delight of a packed audience at Dublin’s Mansion House on Monday.
In recent years, Jim McGuinness has been the recipient of many awards after steering Donegal to All-Ireland final victor and back to back Ulster titles.
