Aonach na Gaeilge takes place this weekend

THIS Saturday Coláiste Ailigh will host Aonach na Gaeilge, an Irish Language Fair which will explore the benefits of bilingual education from playschool right through to University.

The event will include free workshops for children in music, science, art and even coding with a robot.

Attendees will have the opportunity to do a guided tour of Coláiste Ailigh, get a cuppa, have a chat, get information about classes, events and find out what’s happening with Irish in and around Letterkenny.

Representatives from Gaeloideas will be present to talk about the benefits of bilingualism, as well as staff from Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin, Coláiste Ailigh and Gairmscoil Chú Uladh.

Representatives from Conradh na Gaeilge will also be there to speak with attendees about the opportunities to study Irish at third level as well as the employment opportunities.

Donegal County Library, Líonra Leitir Ceanainn, Cara House, the ETB, Teanga Tí, An Carn and others will also have information stands on the day.
