Zero patients on trolleys at LUH

Letterkenny University Hospital.

For the first time in a long time, there are no patients on trolleys at Letterkenny University Hospital this morning. 

In recent days, the number of patients awaiting beds on trolleys had been continuously dropping and this morning, the INMO says there are no patients on trolleys in the emergency department or on wards elsewhere.

Nationally, 429 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.

355 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 74 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

There are 28 children on trolleys today.
