A WOMAN in her twenties has been killed following a single vehicle collision at Drumfad Lower, Portsalon last night.
The woman, who was the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene and a male in his mid twenties was also taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
This is the second road death in the county in the space of two days following the fatal crash near Porthall on St Stephen’s Day which claimed the life of father-of-two Shaun Kelly from Lifford.
The crash in Portsalon last night occurred at 11.30pm and the road was closed for a time while an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators took place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any road users who may have camera footage travelling on the Kerrykeel to Portsalon road (R246) at approximately 11.30pm on Friday 27th December 2019, to come forward.
