MEMBERS of Junior Chamber Ireland (ICI) met for their first monthly meeting last Monday ahead of what will be a very big year for the Donegal branch.

JCI Donegal has just secured a bid to host the annual JCI Ireland National Convention bringing hundreds of members from all over Ireland and the world to Letterkenny in October.

JCI is a membership-based non-profit organisation of 200,000 young people ages 18 to 40 in 5,000 communities and more than 100 countries around the world. The Donegal branch started in 2014 and already members have said they have reaped the benefits of being a part of Junior Chamber Ireland.

Last year’s JCI Donegal branch president and this year’s secretary/treasurer, Emma Boylan, Outside The Box PR, Letterkenny, said: “JCI gives us a place where we can meet like-minded people, give back to our community and work on our personal and professional development.

“I am basically a better person because of it! I would urge young people to join JCI, the only complaint I have is why it didn’t come to Donegal sooner.”

See the full feature, including further testimonials from JCI Donegal members, only in Monday’s Donegal News.
