A delighted Aine is of course no stranger to the festival and is looking forward to a wonderful ten days hosting all the visiting girls.

She is a graduate of University of Galway with an honors bachelor degree in English and Media, and is a previous student of the Rosses Community School.

She hopes to further develop her career in marketing with a focus on digital marketing and social media. She was recently employed by PEL, working as their marketing and digital marketing administrator which she said has been an invaluable experience.

She hopes to develop her skills in this role and in future years use the skills that she has gained to travel alongside her career.

Aine is really passionate about fitness and goes to the gym most days. She enjoys a variety of things in the gym like weightlifting, pilates, and hot yoga.

When she’s not in the gym, she enjoys digital drawing and graphic design.

She also loves reading and sets herself a yearly goal to get through at least fifteen books in her spare time, which she has achieved this year.

Gavin Boyle of the festival organisers told the Donegal News that they are delighted to be getting the local selections off to an early start.

“We had a great night with all the girls and Aine proved a winner for the judges. We are looking forward to her joining the other girls at the festival, and with her being so local they’ll have an excellent tour guide,” he said.

The 2024 Mary from Dungloe festival will be run this year from July 27 to August 5.
