‘You need to be battle-hardened’ – Friel

BY RYAN FERRY

FRANCIE Friel hopes Termon’s narrow win over Red Hugh’s will stand to his team as the look forward to a semi-final with Dungloe this week.
Termon were expected to win more comfortably than they did, but Friel who manages the team along with Johnny McGinley, says that wasn’t the attitude within their camp. They were happy to come through it with a win.
The Burn Road men were relegated from the Senior Championship last year, and failed to win a game in Division 1 of the All-County League earlier this term.
So coming through a tense battle with a one-point win isn’t something to be sniffed at, and Friel hopes his charges will be the better for the victory.
