Met Eireann has issued a status-yellow wind warning for Donegal.
The warning will be in place from 4am to 9pm on Wednesday, when some severe and damaging gusts may occur.
There is also a risk of potential wave overtopping along Atlantic coasts and a spell of heavy rain may lead to flooding in places.
