Yellow weather warnings in place for wind and rain

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind warning for Donegal effective from 12pm this afternoon until 4pm, with forecasters advising of strong and gusty west to northwest winds.

The conditions may lead to fallen branches, loose debris and challenging travel across the county.

Donegal also remains under a status yellow rain warning, which came into effect at 9pm last night and will stay in place until 9pm this evening.

Met Éireann is warning of heavy or thundery rain, turning showery later in the day, with the possibility of hail showers.

The forecaster is also cautioning that the rainfall may result in spot flooding and difficult travelling conditions throughout the day.
