Donegal can expect a chilly week ahead as Met Eireann have issued a status yellow weather warning valid for the next seven days. 

The weather warning is valid today until Friday, March 2 with temperatures expected to plummet to -4 degrees.

Donegal will experience ‘exceptionally cold weather’ with spells of frost and snow possible. 

“Exceptionally cold weather is forecast for next week with significant wind chill and severe frosts. Disruptive snow showers are expected from Tuesday onwards, particularly in the east and southeast,” a spokesperson from Met Eireann said.
