The image of Europa, who according to Greek mythology was seduced and abducted by Zeus in the guise of a bull, is derived from a vase in the Museé du Louvre in Paris.
Did you know that if all the five euro bank notes were gathered together they would weight roughly 900 tonnes – that’s approximately the weight of two large aeroplanes. And every single one of those notes are different.

Each note has a lifespan similar to that of a ladybird – around about 13 months.

It’s worth a closer look – remember it’s your money so check it out.

If only everything was as easy to check out as the new five euro bank note.

Remember three simple steps – feel, look and tilt.
