Work to resume on new emegency department next week

John Sisk and Son will commence work on the site on Monday to complete the work abandoned after Michael McNamara Construction went into receivership last November, leaving up to 40 sub-contractors unpaid.

It is anticipated the completion works will take up to 12 weeks followed by a six to eight week lead-in period to equip and staff the new unit.

According to a statement issued by the HSE this week it will “shortly be in a position to commence completion of the Medical Block at LGH subject to finalisation of matters with the bondsman of Michael McNamara and Co, Allianz plc.
