JIM McGuinness’s assessment that Donegal remain a ‘work-in-progress’ definitely seemed fitting after the draw with Armagh last week.
It certainly wasn’t a bad result against a good team in the Athletic Grounds.
Both teams were shy some important players but the game went down the home stretch and it could have went either way.
Donegal worked a great score for Shane O’Donnell in injury-time when the pressure was on but then almost buckled seconds later when the defence opened up like the red sea to allow Jarly Óg Burns go through on goal.
