THE Woodlands National School Parents Association are happy to announce the return of the popular 5k Run and 2.5k Fun Walk, on Thursday, September 11 at 6.30pm.

The event is open to everyone in the community, with something for all who wish to participate, ranging from a 5k run for the competitive runners, or a 2.5k walk for those who would rather a relaxed stroll through the autumn evening with family and friends.

Last year there was fantastic support for the event with over 600 people taking part and enjoying the wonderful selection of treats and refreshments afterwards.

Registration is available online or in person. Entry cost is €10 adult, €6 child or €25 for a family.

The 5k run is based on chip-timing whereas the 2.5k walk is simply for family or friends to enjoy with no rush.

When 2.5k participants register online they do not need to queue on the night.

Registration in person begins at 5pm next Thursday at Woodlands NS.

The race will get underway at 6.30pm.
