A woman sustained serious head injuries in an early morning assault this morning in Letterkenny.
Gardaí believe a number of implements were used in what has been described as a sustained attack. Two men also sustained injuries.
A man in his 30s was arrested and detained following the incident.
Gardaí have confirmed that the incident initially began outside the premises. There was also significant damage caused to a front door panel as a result of the attack.
A garda spokesperson said a full investigation has been launched into the attack.
“Gardaí responded to reports of an assault in Fairgreen Park on Tuesday morning, January 19, 2021.
“One female was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of her injuries. One male in his 30s has been arrested in relation to this incident and investigations are currently ongoing at this time.”
