Woman needed medical attention after being assaulted

A WOMAN needed medical attention after she was assaulted by a male when she refused to hand over the keys to her car.
Letterkenny gardaí are investigating the incident at Slieve Sneacht at 9.15pm on Saturday, March 26.
The woman had just parked her car at her home when she noticed a group of male youths pass by.  She was then approached by one of the youths who demanded that she hand over the car keys. The woman was assaulted when she refused to hand over her car keys. She did not require medical treatment but was understandably shaken as a result of the incident.
The youth took off on foot. He is described as being in his late teens, of slight build. He wore a hooded top, possibly grey in colour. The hood was up. He had a very slight dark coloured moustache and was between 5 ft 5 or 5 ft 6 tall.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area and who believes they may have seen this male or the group of youths to contact them. Anyone who may  have captured the male or group of youths on dashcam is also urged to get in touch with gardaí in Letterkenny by telephoning (074) 9167100. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.
