A LETTERKENNY woman was left distressed after discovering a male intruder in her home.

The incident happened in Whitethorn Park on Tuesday, March 29, at 9.45pm.

The woman had returned home to her residence and entered her property via the front door to discover the intruder on the stairs. She immediately left her property by the front door.

The intruder was wearing a dark top and jeans and he left via the rear door of the property.

Letterkenny gardaí are appealing to information in relation to the burglary. They are calling on anyone who believes they may have observed the male in the area on the night in question to contact them on (074) 9167100.

They are also urging anyone who was in the area between 9pm and 10pm and who had a dashcam to make the footage available to gardaí in Letterkenny. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.
