A WOMAN (80s) who was seriously injured in a collision in Buncrana last week has passed away.
Rose Byrne, of 68A Mill Brae, Buncrana was one of two pedestrians involved in a collision with a car on Main Street, Buncrana on Tuesday, January 14.
Ms Byrne was seriously injured in the collision and was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment but sadly passed away yesterday, Sunday, January 19.
A garda spokesperson said: “The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.”
Meanwhile, gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
“Road users who were travelling on Main Street, Buncrana, between 2 pm and 3 pm on Tuesday, January 14, are urged to contact gardaí if they have any information or dash-cam footage,” a spokesperson said.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074 932 0540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
