A WOMAN (40s) was seriously injured after a piece of rubble fell from a historic building in Raphoe yesterday evening.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the freak accident which occurred at around 5.15pm in the Diamond area of the town.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following reports of an incident, which occurred at a location in Raphoe, Co. Donegal, yesterday evening, Thursday 3rd October 2024, at approximately 5.15pm.
“A woman (40s) was conveyed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
