A 33 year old woman was killed in Ballyshannon in the early hours of this morning.

The woman, who had been living in Letterkenny, died after she was struck by a mini-busat around 1.50am.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to the Shiel Hospital.
The driver of the mini bus was not injured.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination and the road was closed but has now reopened.
