'Wizard' back in Harps dug-out

McGowan will manage the Club’s ‘A’ Team for the remaining four games of the Season and will also be in charge of the u19 Squad which will compete in the new National League Northern Division which begins weekending August 28th.

Sean said he is delighted to be returning to Finn Park. “I think it’s well known I have a special association with the Club going back a number of years so it’s great to be coming back. I have always felt it is very important that Finn Harps offer young players a platform where they can realise their full potential and a pathway into senior football. I am very much looking forward to working with Felix and Peter and there is no reason why this club can’t achieve great things in the near future,” he said.

Finn Harps Director of Football Felix Healy welcomed the appointment. “It’s great to have a coach of Sean’s experience and ability on board and this is another step in the right direction. Sean’s remit will involve working alongside Peter and I with the first-team and also managing the A Team and u19 Squad.”

Harps Chairman Joey O’Leary also welcomed the new appointment. “I have no doubt that news of Sean’s return will be warmly received by our supporters. He is a highly respected coach with a proven track record of getting the best out of players. I feel the club now has a formidable management team in place and I am confident we will continue to go forward” he said.
