A ‘Winter Wellness’ event is set to take place on Tuesday, December 12 at 12 noon in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny.
Organised by Donegal Public Participation and Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly, this event is focused on mental health.
With a number of guest speakers, stakeholders and support groups to be present on the day, the event is expected to be very informative.
Speaking to the Donegal News ahead of the event, Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly urged everyone to come along.
“This is a very important event that I would urge families, friends, businesses and the general public to take time to attend.
“Unfortunately, mental health has become a major issue in society and it is not going away.
“This will be a very informative event that people can pick up information for friends, families, work-colleagues or even for themselves.
“It’s always good to know where you can turn and what help is out there should someone be needing to avail of it.
“If this information event saves one life it will be a success,” he said.
