Wind warning issued for Donegal

A Yellow Wind Warning has been issued for Donegal, with strong and gusty south-westerly winds expected to affect the county later today.

Met Éireann said the warning will come into effect at 6pm tonight and remain in place until 5am on Wednesday, March 11.

Coastal areas of Donegal are likely to experience the strongest gusts.

The forecaster warned that the winds may lead to difficult travelling conditions.

There is also a possibility that loose debris or objects could be displaced and some fallen branches or trees.
