Wind warning issued ahead of Storm Debi

IT is set to be very windy overnight with the arrival of Storm Debi. Met Eireann has issued a yellow wind warning for Donegal which comes into effect from midnight and will remain in place until 3pm on Monday.

The forecaster is warning of stormy conditions with heavy rain expected and a chance of embedded thunderstorms and hail.

Motorists are being warned of hazardous travelling conditions with the possibility of fallen trees and branches, localised flooding including wave overtopping.
