Wind warning for Donegal

A STATUS yellow wind warning has been issued for Donegal by Met Éireann. The forecaster has advised of very strong winds developing from tomorrow morning.

The alert is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford.

A Met Éireann spokesperson said: “Very strong northwest winds developing. Widespread gusts of between 90 and 110 km/h expected, stronger in exposed areas.”

The warning comes  into force from 8am on Wednesday and will remain in place until 8pm.
