You could win Bono the elf’s car just in time for Christmas

Festive cheer erupted in the office of Sherry FitzGerald Rainey yesterday with the arrival of Santa’s favourite little helper, Bono the Elf – who will gift one lucky Facebooker his new car this Christmas.
There was much excitement as the little fella took some time out from his exciting 22-day tour of Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way to call into our office at Port Road in Letterkenny.

Bono the Elf just wanted to say thanks for providing him with the perfect transportation for his journey – a cool, children’s’ ride-on, electric-powered Mini Cooper, which he’s agreed to giveaway to one lucky winner.

Our new diminutive friend arrived on Irish shores on December 1, having been tasked by Santa to keep a close eye on all the boys and girls in Donegal. Bono has the very important role of updating the ‘naughty or nice’ list to ensure Santa gets all his present orders just right before departing from the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

But near-disaster struck when our tiny pal found himself without any transport in the village of Muff after his makeshift drift-ice raft finally melted on the west bank of Lough Foyle. When we learned that he was stranded and needed to get around the county’s coastline fast, we very quickly sourced a cool, Elf-sized, electric, toy car.

Now Bono doesn’t have to settle for being just another Elf on the Shelf and can jingle all the Wild Atlantic Way in style.Bono’s journey will end on December 22, so in keeping with the festive spirit – the little fella has heartily agreed to allow one lucky Sherry FitzGerald Rainey Facebooker to have an extra special Christmas by winning his Wild Atlantic Way ride-on Mini Cooper.

To be in with a chance of winning this fabulous prize, all that Facebookers need to do is guess which famous Wild Atlantic Way beauty spot Bono will arrive at next; like the @SherryFitzGeraldRainey page and share any of the ‘Bono the Elf’ daily posts. Facebookers can guess the loca- tion each day to be entered in the draw for this wonderful children’s Christmas gift.

The winner will be announced on December 23 – just in time for Christmas Eve when Bono the Elf will be picked up by Santa in his sleigh whisked back to the North Pole to enjoy the Elves’ Christmas party.
Bono can now find out for himself just why Donegal has been ranked as the coolest in the National Geographic’s ‘Cool List’ of 17 top places to visit in 2017.

We’re hoping he’ll tell all of his Elf friends in the North Pole about the sheer beauty of our county and the warmth of our Donegal welcome when he’s rocking around the Christmas tree on December 25. Bono said yesterday: “Since last Thursday I’ve been bowled over by the spectacular beauty of your county, having visited Muff, Moville, Kinnegoe Bay, Malin Head, Mamore Gap, Dunree Fort, Grianan of Aileach and, of course, Letterkenny. I just can’t wait to see the rest of Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way before Santa comes to pick me up.”

Where will he turn up next? That is the challenge set on our Facebook page to be in with a chance of winning his striking new car.
