GENEROUS Kerrykeel couple Michael and Mary Whoriskey have raised more than €10,000 for Cancer Care West through their stunning Christmas lights display.
The couple have been transforming their Gortcally garden into a magical winter wonderland for 19 years, raising around €124,000 for numerous charities.
Each year, the Whoriskey’s illuminate their home with hundreds of Santas, snowmen and other festive characters, attracting hundreds of visitors as a result.
Speaking to the Donegal News this week, Mary thanked all who made a donation to this year’s fundraiser.
“Thanks to all who donated at our donation box and online,” she said.
Mary also expressed her gratitude to her sponsors, and to her family, friends and neighbours who helped with the fundraiser in any way.
