Today’s League of Ireland First Division clash between Wexford and Finn Harps will go ahead as scheduled.
There were fears that the pitch at Ferrycarrig Park would be waterlogged.
However, it passed a 7.45am pitch inspection.
Wexford released a statement saying:
“We are delighted to confirm that the pitch has passed inspection and tonight’s game is going ahead!
“Massive well done to our groundsman for great work getting the game on after torrential rain.”
The game kicks off at 7.45pm.
Finn Harps are hoping to get back to winning ways after losing to Cobh Ramblers last weekend.
