DONEGAL is enjoying one of the biggest festivals in the Northwest.
Oakfest commenced today and continues tomorrow, Sunday, September 7.
The festival is taking place amongst the stunning grounds of Oakfield Park, and it promises to be a weekend full of music, fun and entertainment.
This festival has something for everyone, with two stages catering to two completely different styles of music.
Oakfest will be open from 12pm until 11pm today and tomorrow.
Enjoy all Oakfield Park has to offer with fabulous food, drinks and an electric atmosphere.
Perhaps you would like to take full advantage of the weekend and stay in the campervan park or maybe you would like to relax in the glamorous glamping village. If you live locally, there is a convenient shuttle bus provided. The buses will depart from the Orchard Venue in Letterkenny at 1pm and 2pm and from The Diamond in Raphoe at 1.45pm and 2.45pm. The buses will return on Saturday at 11-12pm and on Sunday at 11pm.
Once you arrive at the festival, the amazing Marty Guilfoyle will be on hand to guide you through the weekend. The MC guarantees to bring plenty of laughs, good vibes and energy to the stage.
Oakfest has an array of exciting acts playing at this year’s festival over the two days with some brilliant tribute acts lined up.
The incredible Wet Wet Wet will be on stage on Saturday, and on Sunday it’s the Ultimate Eagles.
And don’t miss the 30s Plus Club After Party on Saturday night – taking over once headliners Wet Wet Wet leave the stage, DJ Darren B alongside DJ Crazy Conal, will keep the party alive with throwback anthems bringing the classics back to life.
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever. Whether you’re looking for excellent music, good food or a fun family day out, Oakfest is the place for you this weekend.
