West Donegal to suffer worst of heavy rains

GALE force winds and torrential rain are set to batter Donegal over the weekend according to Met Eireann who have issued a weather warning for the county.
Speaking to the Donegal News, a spokesperson for the national meteorological body said that today (Friday) will see the continuation of heavy downpours which began yesterday.
The spokesperson expressed concern over the predicted heavy rainfall, particularly in the west of the county which brings with it a strong risk of flooding.
