After a turbulent week, Donegal captain Patrick McBrearty spoke to the media after Sunday’s heavy defeat against Roscommon.
McBrearty is currently injured but he was vocal from his seat by the sideline.
Donegal have found themselves in the spotlight this week after Paddy Carr’s resignation following a discussion with senior players.
The Donegal camp have received criticism in the past few days, and again on Sunday, following a below-par performance.
It’s a tough period for the team but they are standing by one another, and getting ready for facing Down in the Ulster Championship on April 23.
McBrearty said: “Listen, there’s a lot of arrows in the back there, coming from a lot of places. We’re sticking together. Media, supporters, they don’t know what goes on in the dressing room and they never really will either, so they can speculate all they want but those 35 lads in there will stick together and we don’t really care what anyone else says.”
