Finn Harps 2-1 Waterford
DAVE Webster netted a sensational injury-time winner as Finn Harps defeated Waterford in Finn Park this evening.
Harps were poor in the first half and fell behind in the 36th minute when John Martin headed past Mark Anthony McGinley.
However, the home side got back on level terms four minutes later when Adam Foley smashed a shot to the net after good play by Mark Coyle, Barry McNamee, and Karl O’Sullivan.
Harps had two penalty appeals waved away early in the second half before Kosovar Sadiki missed a good chance to score for the home side in the 70th minute.
Former Republic of Ireland international Daryl Murphy came on as a sub and spurned a big chance for Waterford.
Harps looked the most likely late on and the goal they craved came at the death when Dave Webster fired to the top corner with his weaker left foot.
Harps have won three of their first four league games and are back in action next Saturday when they travel to take on Sligo Rovers.
