TODAY will be mostly cloudy with showery rain turning heavy at times.

The rain will clear through the afternoon, with sunny spells and blustery showers following.

It’ll become increasingly windy through the day with winds increasing strong to near gale.

Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.

Tonight will be rather windy at first with scattered showers.

Winds will ease and the showers will become isolated and mainly confined to coastal parts of the north and west.

There’ll be some clear spells and a chance of some frost and icy patches with a few mist or fog patches.

Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees.
