Weather: Sunny spells forecast for St. Patrick’s Day

With St. Patrick’s Day celebrations getting underway all across the county, the forecast for this afternoon is for sunny spells, although there could be some rain showers.

Large crowds will enjoy a host of parades and events around Donegal and Met Éireann is forecasting sunny spells and showers for today – although better sunshine is predicted to develop through the afternoon.

Highest temperatures will be 11 or 12 degrees.

The forecast for Bank Holiday Monday is for  rain in the west early on and that rain will become widespread by afternoon.
