Weather: Dull and damp day ahead 

TODAY will be dull and damp with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times.

The rain will gradually clear northwards early this afternoon and it will be drier for the rest of the day with just patches of light rain and drizzle.

There will be some mist and fog too.

After a largely dry start to the night, rain will spread from the south overnight.
