Weather: Dry day with spells of hazy sunshine 

TODAY will be dry for much of the day with spells of hazy sunshine.

However, it will gradually turn cloudy through the evening with rain and drizzle moving towards nightfall.

Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with winds increasing moderate to fresh, strong at times near Atlantic coasts.

Tonight will be quite wet as a band of rain moves across the province, turning heavy in places.

The rain will become mostly confined to eastern areas with clearer skies and a few showers following from the west.

Moderate to fresh winds will decrease as the rain clears.

Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.
