Weather: Cloudy start gives way to sunny spells today

THIS morning will be cloudy with a mix of sunny spells.

There will also be frosty patches, but any fog will clear through the morning.

Conditions will generally be dry, with just some showers moving into northern coastal areas this evening.

Highest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees, with mostly light variable breezes.

Tonight will be quite cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the north gradually sinking southwards through the night.

Clear spells and a few showers will follow by morning.

Cold with lowest temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees with frost and icy stretches developing.

Light to moderate winds will increase fresh at times along coasts.
