Weather advisory issued as cold spell expected

A WEATHER advisory warning has been issued for Donegal by Met Éireann as very cold conditions are expected this week.

An Arctic airmass is set to bring the cold spell with sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches on the roads. The yellow advisory warning will be in place until next Saturday at 11pm.

A Met Éireann spokesperson said: “Showers of hail, sleet, and snow will occur during the second half of the week. Updates with potential warnings will be issued in the coming days.”
