The owner of an award winning personalisation business which was started at the kitchen table during the pandemic was inspired to start her own business by other small businesses.
Killea based Noted Ireland is run by owner Roseann McGlinchey and her sister Danielle.
Roseann started the business in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, and quickly enlisted the help of Danielle when the popularity of the business started to rise.
The business specialises in the finishing touches for weddings such as personalised robes, pyjamas, decor, glasses and everything that is needed for the big day.
Roseann said she was inspired by other small business with whom she previously worked with and decided to open her own business.
“I started Noted Ireland after being put on furlough in 2020.
“For years, I worked with small businesses in England and they were so amazing and it was inspiring to see what they could do and how far they grew their businesses.
“It was something I always thought I should try and give it a go but it went a lot better than I thought it would,” said Roseann.
Since opening almost three years ago, the business has been a part of hundreds of weddings and recently won its first award at the Wedding Suppliers awards.
Offering advice to other women who may be curious about starting a business, the Noted ladies said the best advice they can offer is to start small but dream big.
“A lot of businesses, you can start with very little and grow them up.
“Don’t be scared to start small and build as you can.
“You do not have everything to start with because you will get there one step at a time.
“Take baby steps – they all add up,” said Roseann and Danielle
