Waterford 1-10 Donegal 0-7
Donegal will rue some wasteful shooting as they were knocked out of the All-Ireland championship as they failed to get a result against Waterford in Walsh Park on Sunday.
Donegal were never ahead in the match and trailed from the sixth minute on in the game, with Eve Power’s goal proving a huge score early on.
Amy Boyle Carr and Susanne White’s free were all Donegal hit in the first half as Waterford led by five at the break.
They increased that to eight thanks to some great free taking through Emma Fitzgerald.
Donegal had a bit of a purple patch when they reduced the deficit back to five thanks to three scores from White, one from play and a point from substitute Eva Gallagher.
But they then hit five wides in-a-row as the time ticked down and Waterford saw out the win.
