Warm and dry conditions forecast for Donegal

OVERALL, the weather outlook for Donegal promises a weekend filled with sunny spells and comfortable temperatures, ideal for outdoor activities and enjoyment.

According to Met Éireann, Donegal residents can expect a pleasant day ahead, with early morning mist gradually clearing to reveal warm and dry conditions. Sunny spells will dominate the skies, offering a respite from recent weather fluctuations.

Temperatures are set to reach highs of up to 21 degrees Celsius, accompanied by light to moderate southerly breezes.

As night falls, the dry spell will persist, accompanied by clear spells and the potential formation of mist and fog in some areas. Overnight temperatures are forecasted to range from 7 to 10 degrees Celsius, with light variable breezes prevailing.

Looking ahead to Saturday morning, any lingering mist and fog patches will disperse, making way for another day of warmth and dryness. Sunshine is expected to be plentiful, contributing to a delightful outdoor experience.

However, cloud cover will gradually increase in the western parts of the region by evening. Temperature highs will remain consistent, ranging from 20 to 22 degrees Celsius, with moderate southerly breezes prevailing throughout the day.
