VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help clean up the route of the Glenswilly 5k which takes place next week.
Cllr James Pat McDaid is organising the clean up and is asking local people to lend a hand on Wednesday evening.
“I have organised for the County Council to supply a skip, bags, gloves and vests to have a litter clean up of the whole 5k route.”
He has asked volunteers to meet at Glenswilly GAA pitch at 6.30pm on Wednesday (June 17).
“It won’t take that long altogether if we can get plenty of volunteers,” said Cllr McDaid.
