Volunteers needed for benefit day in aid of Ukraine

VOLUNTEERS are being sought to take part in a major benefit day in aid of the people of Ukraine on Saturday at the Honeypot.
The popular coffee house has organised for a Spinning Bike to be put in place and they are searching for volunteers to each take a 15 minute slot  on the bike starting at 9am and finishing at 6pm.
In total they need between 24 and 48 volunteers to fill the slots and 15 minute or 30 minute slots can be booked.
A bucket collection will also be held and there will be a draw with some fantastic prizes.
A spokesperson for the event said, “Countless families are being torn apart in Ukraine with many including young children losing their lives and others sustaining catastrophic and life limiting injuries.
“As many as 500,000 refugees, mainly women and children, in recent days have had to flee their homes, taking refuge in Poland and elsewhere, giving rise to devastating humanitarian consequences.
“We need to stand with the people of Ukraine in their hour of most need.
“Please come along to our Benefit Day at Honeypot Coffee House in Letterkenny this Saturday March 5 from 9am to 6pm and give the people of Ukraine your support. We look forward to welcoming you on the day.”
To volunteer at the event, visit Honeypot Coffee House on Facebook and comment leaving your name and the time you wish to book.
