The beautiful Villa Rose Hotel foyer in Ballybofey.
THE Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey, has been listed in popular website TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Hotels in Ireland.
The TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards were announced earlier this week and two well-known Donegal hotels topped the list. Harvey’s Point took the top spot as #1 Hotel in Ireland, while the family-run Villa Rose Hotel joined hotels from Dublin, Kerry and Cork ranking among one of the Top 25 Hotels in Ireland.
Leona McGee, Marketing Manager for the Villa Rose, said: “We are tremendously proud of our Tripadvisor award. Donegal has so much to offer in terms of tourism and there are many fine Hotels, B&Bs, Restaurants & Attractions in the County so this is a particularly high honour for us.
“Hopefully this is a continuation of the upturn in tourism for the North-West and a positive year in Donegal tourism after the hard times experienced by a number of Donegal Hotels in recent weeks. Family-run hotels in the county have so much to offer in terms of friendliness, service, quality and value. We would like to thank both our guests and our hard working team of staff who have earned this award on behalf of the Villa Rose Hotel.”
While the popular Ballybofey hotel puts a particular emphasis on customer satisfaction and work hard to maintain their high standards the award still came as a pleasant surprise.
Tommy and Bridget Gallen, owners of the Villa Rose said they were thrilled to be listed as one of the Top 25 Hotels in Ireland and put it down to their hard working staff.
