Vigils in Donegal tonight in memory of Ashling Murphy

FOUR vigils are planned in Donegal tonight in memory of Ashling Murphy.

Ashling Murphy (23) from Tullamore in Offaly was killed on Wednesday January 12 while she was out for a run at the Grand Canal Tow Path around 4pm.
Gardai believe that the woman, who worked as a a primary school teacher, was assaulted by a male who acted alone.

The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the country and vigils in almost every county have been organised in her memory.

Four vigils have been organised in Donegal:

ARDARA: Friday January 14, 5pm at The Diamond
CARNDONAGH: Friday January 14, 8pm at Carndonagh Town Centre
LETTERKENNY: Friday January 14, 7pm at Market Square
MILFORD: Friday January 14, 4pm at Milford & District Resource Centre.
People are advised to follow public health guidelines. Wear face masks and gather in a socially distanced manner.
