The vehicle drove off after the incident which occurred at around 12.15am.

The Director of the Donegal Hearing Clinic, Sabrina Robb said the matter is now in the hands of the gardaí and for now, the clinic will remain closed.

“We looked at the CCTV footage from our camera inside the clinic and you can see car lights going back and forth outside. Then all of a sudden there is this huge cloud of smoke after it collided with the front part of the building,” Sabrina explained.

Our video shows the damage caused to the front area of the clinic.  The area immediately outside the premises is not on the main road, but is used for customer and business parking.

“Obviously for now, we aren’t in a position to have the clinic opened but once we get the place cleaned up and back to normal, we’ll be able to open again.”

Donegal Hearing Clinic is located at Unit 3 on Pearse Road, close to the Carry Out off licence.
