Victory over Tyrone could unlock appetising pathway

IT has been a gruelling championship schedule for Donegal so far this season, but a victory over Tyrone this week could unlock an appetising pathway ahead.

Donegal came through a challenging provincial championship with Derry, Tyrone, and Armagh all put to the sword, but Jim McGuinness and his side need to rally again this Saturday.

Group 3 of the All-Ireland Series is not the most difficult quartet, and while Cork and Clare won’t be taken for granted, it feels like the winners of this Saturday’s derby clash between Donegal and Tyrone will be in a great position to top the section.

It’s not knock-out football this weekend and there will be time to recover if defeated, but the side that finishes on top progresses straight through to the quarter-finals and that should provide keen motivation.
